I’m Will Schwing, Chief Marketing Officer at KVP International and a marketer for fifteen-plus years, across agency, research, and the operator’s chair. I live in Pasadena, California with my wife and daughter.
Marketing has a simple destination and innumerable ways of getting there. The goal is to create demand. How you get there is a modern, complicated toolset, and the mix that works for one business won’t work for the next. At KVP, it meant turning the marketing department into a value-add agency for our partners, at no cost to them. For you it may mean something else altogether. Success comes down to branding, messaging, timing, channels, and ultimately people.
I’m a creative strategist at my core. Define the problem, arrive at the solution, and deliver it with perspective and polish. I work quickly and decisively. I can see the finish line early, which is a powerful tool and, on occasion, a liability, because I have to bring linear thinkers along with me. I build frameworks so decisions get made fast. Defend, Capture, Conquest, Scale is one. Brand-performance marketing for B2B, built around memorability, is another. And I pull heavily from outside my industry, especially CPG, because B2B tends to move slower than it should.
Before KVP, I ran accounts and creative at Brains on Fire in Los Angeles for BFGoodrich, Michelin, and Warner Bros., and started in consumer research at Ipsos. I speak on innovation and go-to-market at AHNTI, the Pet Innovation Summit, and the Veterinary Innovation Summit, created The Bowman Report, and have nine Vetty Awards to show for the work. I studied communications at Westmont College and speak fluent Spanish.
I speak on innovation and sustainability in animal health, on panels alongside C-suite executives. Animal Health, Nutrition & Technology Innovation Summit, Boston and London. Pet Innovation Summit, Los Angeles. Veterinary Innovation Summit, Kansas City.
